Send a video message that arrives like a card, with a letter.

Upload a film straight off your phone and put it in an envelope with their name on it. Add a letter and the photos. It plays inside the envelope, not on a video site.

Half price on your first envelope with a film. Nothing to install, for you or for them.

Step by step

How to send a video message

Record it on your phone first. The rest takes a few minutes.

  1. Record it

On your phone, as you would anyway: just you, saying it to camera, or everyone one after another. A few minutes, even in 4K, fits in 1 GB.

  2. Upload it

Straight from your camera roll, upright or sideways. We make a lighter copy so it plays at once for them. Or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link.

  3. Add a letter and photos

The film is one piece and an envelope holds up to ten. Put a letter first, so they read it before they press play.

  4. Send the link

Now, or sealed until the day and time you set. They tap the seal, read, and press play, on any phone or computer.

What they get

About five minutes for you to write. For them, one link that opens like the real thing.

  1. A link, in their messages

Send it by text, WhatsApp or email, or we’ll email it to them for you.

  2. They tap the seal

It opens in their browser. No app, no account, no password.

  3. Then each piece, one by one

Your letter, a postcard of your photo, and a film of you saying it.

Video message questions

How do I send a video message to someone?

Start an envelope here, add a film and upload the video from your phone or computer. Add a letter if you like, pay once, then send the link by text, WhatsApp or email, or we’ll email it to them for you.

How much does it cost to send a video message?

$5 for the whole envelope with a film in it, up to ten pieces: the film, a letter, the photos. Paid once by card through Stripe, with no subscription.

How long can the video be?

Up to 1 GB, which is a few minutes straight off a phone, even in 4K. Longer than that? Trim it down, or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link instead.

Does the video go on YouTube?

No. An uploaded film plays inside the envelope, for whoever has its link, and nothing is posted anywhere. Add a passphrase if you want to be sure only they can open it.

Can I send more than one video?

Yes. Each film is its own piece and an envelope holds up to ten, so add one per film, with a letter or photos in between. It’s still one price.

Can the whole family be in it?

Record one film with everyone in it, one after another, and upload it as a piece. Or collect a few films and add one each.

Can it arrive on the day?

Yes. Send the link whenever you like, or send it early and set the day and time it opens. Until then they see the sealed envelope and a countdown.

Do they need an app?

No. One link, opened in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. They tap the seal, read your letter and press play.

How long is the video kept?

A year after it’s first opened, and they get a link to save their own copy. Letters and photos are kept for good. A YouTube or Vimeo link lasts as long as the video does there.

Press record. They’ll press play.
