About stampgoose
A digital envelope for the people you’d write to properly if you had the room: a letter, the photos and a film, sealed until the day and sent as one link.
Who runs it
Stampgoose is made and run by one person, Jake Powney. It’s a small business (Jake Robert Powney, trading as Stampgoose), so whoever reads hello@stampgoose.com is whoever built it.
Why an envelope
Some things don’t fit in a text, and a card only has room for a line. A letter has room, but the post takes days, and the people you most want to write to are often the furthest away.
So Stampgoose keeps what a letter does well, and the bits around it: you write it properly, seal it, and it waits until the day, with a countdown on the envelope until then. They open it on their own screen, wherever they are, as many times as they like. And there’s room for a film, so they can hear you say it.
What we promise
- One price, paid once. $1.29 for letters and postcards, $5 with a film, however many people open it. No subscription.
- Nothing to install. They get one link. No app, and no password, for you or for them.
- No ads, no tracking. No advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. We count visits with Plausible, which doesn’t identify anyone.
- The people you write to stay yours. We never add them to anything or send them anything but the envelope, and only that if you ask us to deliver it.
- Kept for good. Letters and photos stay for as long as Stampgoose runs, and if it ever has to close, you’ll hear at least 60 days before. Films are kept for a year after they’re first opened, with a button to save a copy.
